The Noah Alliance is a collaboration of Jewish, Evangelical, Protestant, and other religious community organizations, and individual people of faith, that are concerned about the protection of endangered species and biological diversity.
The Noah Alliance seeks to provide a service by pulling together written materials pertaining to conservation from a faith perspective with an emphasis on the protection of endangered species and the web of life. To the extent possible, these materials are accessible through the Noah Alliance website.
Hopefully many audiences will find these materials useful, including the general public. However, there is a special emphasis on items helpful to people who plan and lead worship and education within the faith community. Therefore, the Noah Alliance seeks to share the following if they pertain to our responsibility to care for God’s world and include, or can be adapted to include, an emphasis on protecting endangered species or biological diversity:
- Major faith community statements;
- Sample sermons and sermon tips;
- Examples of liturgy and prayers;
- Lists of songs;
- Children’s and adult curriculum and study guides;
- Articles, essays, and lectures;
- Bibliography;
- Links;
- Document Archive.
If these items are easily accessible via a website, hopefully the message that we are called to care for God’s creation, including endangered species and biodiversity, will become even more present in the worship and education of faith groups.
