How the Endangered Species Act works

The Noah Alliance: A faith community collaboration dedicated to the protection of God’s creation and its web of life.

The Noah Alliance is currently engaged in educational efforts within the religious community, general public, and halls of Congress. Will you help protect endangered species from extinction?

You can make a difference in the work to protect endangered species from extinction:

1. Incorporate the caring for creation message into your congregation’s worship and education.

The Noah Alliance can help. Visit the Noah Alliance website, www.noahalliance.org, for materials to plan sermons and worship services and design curriculum for adults and children. As a service to clergy, lay educators, and others, the Noah Alliance is gathering a variety of items:

2. Contact your U.S. House and Senate members. The Noah Alliance website includes sample letters, talking points, and all the other information you need to contact members of Congress. Also, you can use excerpts from the major statements or other items in the Resources section to draft a short message; just tell your policy makers why you care about endangered species and that we need a strong Endangered Species Act.

3. The Noah Alliance is continually gathering materials to add to the website. If you are aware of sermons, curriculum, or other relevant items, please let us know.

Feel free to contact Suellen Lowry, the Noah Alliance program director, with questions or information. She would love to talk with you and is at 707-826-1948, suellenquaker@suddenlink.net.
